Greetings, my name is Al from NJ, USA. I am taking lessons and practicing.
I had an Audio Technica running through a pre-amp into an Edirol UA-25 to a laptop running Windows XP and usind Audacity and all was well. The XP laptop dies and I amtrying to use a new laptop with Windows 7. It sees the Ediroll and plays through the speakers but does not recognize the mic.
Am I missing something obvious?
TIA

Indeed I did. I suppose I should check the mic cable since it sat dormant for a while and the mic is not recognized? I am trying to picture horses rather than zebras I suppose.

You may need to go through all the programs and manually select the Edirol UA-25 as the mic input.
I had to do this in Windows 7 32 bit for a client. What a pain. _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong. |
