So as I was doing some editing on a project yesterday, my Firebox was being a bit intermittent. Just as I finished up the last segment I heard a POP, then smoke coming out of the Firebox. Very dead.

So I'm looking for a replacement. Does anyone have one of these that they don't use anymore? I've got some updates coming in soon, so I'd like to get back up and running quickly, and the easiest way to do that is just swap out the box.

Bob, not sure what you want to pay for a Firebox (I used to use that years ago), but I checked and saw NEW on Amazon for $139!!!!! Also, sometimes your local Guitar Center or the like, sell them too.

I hope you get going quickly!

Hey Brian,

Thanks, but that's the USB model. They have stopped making the Firebox model I had.
I am waiting for one now that I picked up at auction on eBay, so we shall see!

AH! I just happen to have a firewire Firebox I'm not using. One of the firewire ports doesn't work but other than that it's just fine. So as long as you don't need to daisy chain it, it's perfect. You want it? PM me or call me at 251 752-9221.

EDIT: Shoot, just saw where you picked up one on Ebay. Oh well.

Thanks anyhow Brian. I would have jumped at the opportunity to pick yours up if I had known ahead of time.

On a positive note, the unit I picked up off eBay arrived today and is working perfectly. I used it to record a couple of updates for a client. Back in business!

Yeah, I saw on Twitter that you were able to get back up and running! Whew!!!! I know that's a pain. I use a Digi 003R and purchased an MBox2 a few years ago as a back up...it just sits on the shelf, but I had the same thing happen to me before and it's a bummer!
