Why you should attend: The healthcare/pharmaceutical industry spends millions of dollars per year creating videos, internet content and other media. Anyone working in corporate media production, including video editors, videographers, sound designers, writers, voiceover talent, and graphic designers cannot overlook this huge segment of the market! The panelists (see below) will be taking questions from the audience members, so get ready with your questions!

Who: There will be a four member panel consisting of experts in the field of producing video and other media for hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry.

Panelists include:

Panel Bios:
Al Ritondo has been in video for over 30 years. He started as VP at New Horizon Studios in NYC, producing corporate and industrial productions for such companies as Wella, Avon, Altantic Records and CBS Records. He launched his own production company in 1987, producing thousands of weddings, and garnering over 15 event awards such as WEVA Creative Excellence, Telly, and Vision Awards. He and his wife Kathy have been presenters at most of the last 20 WEVA Expos, and have both been inducted into the WEVA Hall of Fame. They have also been included in the EventDV Top 25 Most Influential Videographers in the Country twice in a row. He and Kathy began podcasting about weddings in 2005, and continue to this day with their internet show WedVidTalk.com. For the past seven years, Al has been the Director of Video Production for the North Shore-LIJ Health System, with 15 hospitals and other healthcare facilities - it is the nation’s second largest health system. He oversees video productions from concept to completion, including scripting, shooting, & graphic design, for fundraising, public relations, marketing & promotions, and O.R. procedural documentations. In this capacity, he has won over 10 awards including several Telly, Communicator, Vision and EMPixx Awards, and has served as a judge for the Tellys and the EMPixx Awards.

John Riehl joined Medical Missions for Children in June 2004. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the management of all aspects of the organization's day-to-day operations, thereby providing leadership and support to all components of the Medical Missions for Children mission. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Scranton and graduated with honors from the Business School at the University of Connecticut. In 2000, he was awarded the honor of "Most Distinguished Catholic School Graduate" by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and was also inducted into his High School’s Hall of Fame in 2002. For five years, Mr. Riehl was a guest lecturer at Yale University's Medical School within its Department of Public Health. Prior to his entry into the non-profit sector, John enjoyed a successful career in the information technology sector, where he headed up the sales and marketing activities for a software development firm, and then was appointed to the position of Information Technology Director and Chief Information Officer for a 250-attorney law firm headquartered in Boston, MA. For two years, he was also employed as a website architect/designer focused on the development of websites for both healthcare systems and law firms.

Pam Rutherford-Magee is an 18-year veteran in the video production industry. Prior to joining Medco, Pamela was the Senior Avid editor at MediaMix, Inc., a bustling post-house in Paramus, NJ. Her passion for technology and her love of the business have enabled her to produce, direct, edit and distribute a variety of creative media solutions to satisfy clients’ marketing needs.
As Senior Technical Studio Manager and Video Editor for Medco Health Solutions, she manages the day-to-day operations of a state-of-the-art streaming media studio that can send live programming to 22,000 desktops nationwide.
