This was for an on-camera narration a few years back. I never cussed
so much in front of a client in my life. |
No way. You're counting cards, man!
In all seriousness, though: I read that once silently, and then pronounced it perfectly out loud. It helps having a medical background... (One job I had several years ago was reading radiology reports to physicians when they called.) _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

David, only someone like yourself that has read medical terms before would even know where to BEGIN with that mofo. |

Sorry if I came off boasting. All of us have stronger skills in some areas than others.
Medical narrations can pay well; training in anatomy and pharmacological terms is worthwhile if you want to do that kind of work. _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

I didn't think you came off boasting at all! I wish I had a background with that terminology before I did the job.
When I teach ear-prompting seminars, I use that gig as an example of 'worst case scenario'. |

Anybody in ANY other profession reading this thread would certainly get a giggle... it's like a Bulletin Board for car mechanics comparing the difficulty of the various types of electronic ignitions, or the cardiothoracic surgeon one-upping the next on his choice of sternum-splitters. How 'bout the farmer extolling the virtues of John Deere over Case/International.
I love it! All-y'all are tops!

"Tours of the facility"
I had that innocuous-looking little phrase in a read this morning.
The engineer tried to say it, too-- and had to laugh because he couldn't. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Tourzuh zuh fuzilitee...?
How about "Conservative leader. Building Trust."? Oh, there's nothing tough about that phrase--it's merely one I have the privilege of saying each time the Binkley For Governor campaign hires me for their tv and radio spots, cha cha cha. Just this morning, my brain/tongue fart came courtesy of: disciplinary report.
For those few moments, I'd have happily traded that for the medical and pharmaceutical stuff. We all had a few laughs and I eventually got through it. |
