Hit them again for a minimum each time there's a change?

Bob,
Yes, I usually allow for a few revisions per script...a "few" varies depending on the client, how easy they are to work with and whether they abuse the privilege....all in the name of relationship building!
That said, If they are completely changing large chunks of the script I do charge them...either 50% of my normal session rate OR the full rate....again depending on the amount of changes they ask for....I know this is not the pat answer you may have been looking for, but it has worked for me!
Obviously if I screwed up, no charge on corrections. _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

Bob,
For some of my clients, revisions are done on a "per page" or "per minute" rate. For others, I price my work to include one round of revisions and if more are needed then those are billed as above. _________________ Be well,

Thanks, Bob. For those projects where you include a round of revisions, how do you qualify what that round of revisions entails? _________________ Bob Ransom

Bob,
Nope. I price it so I don't mind if I have to do the whole thing over. _________________ Be well,

Doing the whole thing over would be less of an issue than one I went through recently where the client came back 11 different times with revisions. They were demoing the completed project in-house and getting all sorts of revisions back from everyone and their brother. The client and I eventually had a talk about how he could save money the next time by actually getting these approvals in the scripting phase rather than after everything had been produced (doh!) but that did nothing to help the current project. Thankfully, I was on a paid-by-the-hour deal for both voice and editing so i didn't get hurt.
But then I did a quote today and used a per-finished-minute rate which simplifies things for everyone except me if I get hit with 11 rounds of changes. _________________ Bob Ransom

Bob,
My "revisions included" deals only include one round of revisions. After that, the meter is running just like with any other project. _________________ Be well,
