|
|
I have a better mic now. (Still working on the sound dampening) But it only has settings for mono. If I set it to stere on audacity only one side is recorded. But if its mono I can hear it out of both speakers. Is this going to be a problem?? The last mic ( a small computer one) let me adjust in Audacity to use stereo, but the new one doesnt. Do I need to record in stereo??
To listen to my demos with the new mic http://marylong1.voice123.com/ Ive redone the promos, and IVR so far.
Thanks for all of your help!|

Hi Mary,
I also use the Samson. It is mono only unless you have 2 of them hooked up.
You need to record in mono. Samson uses the left channel. I'm not familiar with Audacity, but if you can, set it to record in mono and set it for left channel. _________________ TG2

even if audacity lets you record in stereo, it is still the same mono track, just on both. it's a mono input device as are most microphones. Your vo track will most likely be mixed with other tracks and positioned within the stereo field by the producer/engineer. |
