While I really like the upper left I think not playing off the name is a missed opportunity, "When your script needs...special delivery"
Something along those lines. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Thank you to everyone who weighed in on this one! Great ideas plus good laffs ... I love this place!!!
Based on this discussion, I think we will be reworking the logo/theme to, as Chuck so aptly put it, play off the name. Anything to get the client to remember the name is good, right?
And Bruce, thank you so much for taking the time to find me at Talent Plus. I feel like the invisible voice sometimes, without my own site. But it's coming ... soon! |

KIDDING!
I have nothing to say; I just read 3 pages of comments abut the logos and whether or not you need one and now it's all tainted for me.
eh, what the hell. i like the upper left if it fits YOU, and i like the upper right as a more techy kind of statement in the voicey way it could be. ess-can the other 2.
helpful, right? _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Absolutely helpful, Diane!
I have been having a blast reading all these creative ideas. I really really value the opinions expressed here at the VO-BB playground -- who else but fellow voiceoverists truly understands what we do? Thanks, Deebs, for the sandbox!
In the meantime, I'm waiting on the next versions of the logo and will post 'em if they're worth postin'.

Wow... I just realized, my initials are MF!!! NOT a good blend for a logo!!
Oh, well... I'll have to fit my name in another way lol!!

I can't for the life of me think of a good VO logo or slogan I can remember...I can distinctly remember some of the bad ones.
We should be selling our clients' brands, not ours. It's about having a good overall feel to your brand, not a specific icon (that's so 1950s). Look at the sites of the really good production houses or web design houses. They're not icon/slogan heavy. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

When I created my logo (in 2004), the only criteria was "Ooh, I like that font!"
Then it was "Let's make 'mendez' bold."
Finally, it was "Hellz yeah, boy! Put my url on dat shit!"
Boom.
Six years later, it still says absolutely nothing about me other than I like the "Agency" font.
I recently "redesigned" it. How? I dropped the "s" in "voice-overs" after getting a call about casting a project. No big party about it, just dropped the "s"
None of it matters really. Not for what we do. The only "rule" is that if you pick one, stick with it.
Or not.

Uh... why did I post on this thread from 1999? Forget everything I wrote... I obviously have no clue what I'm doing. |
