VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a place to get laptop batteries? I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, and they do have batteries available...that are pricey and don't really have very good reviews.

Does anyone know of another reputable place from which to buy?

I was told that Dell has 'system exclusive' manufactured battery packs that no one else carries... I don't know that for a fact, but I know it's the case with their printers and supplies...

Hey Scott - I snagged a great deal on a "used" battery for my Macbook Pro off of eBay ... the seller had a bunch of them to sell, and I asked where they got them - since they claimed they were only "slightly used" - with X number of charge cycles .... he got them from Apple directly, when they refurbish a laptop - they put a new battery in - regardless of how little use the old one had. I think Dell might possibly do the same thing, since this same seller is selling some Dell batteries for Latitudes - so you might check eBay. Good luck!!

It appears Dell sells their Inspiron 1520 battery for $138.
There also seem to be plenty of the same battery types available for $99 and below with a Google search. Reputations seem to be dependant upon the mood of the customer.
