Michael Hedges was an amazing talent (he died young several years ago) and I'm so glad to have some of his work in my collection. The guitarist in the video does a fine tribute, but the real thing will thrill you even more.

Reminds me of a "New Age" radio show I hosted from '92-'02. Played Michael Hedges, Michael Manring, Quintana & Speer, Andreas Vollenweider, Checkfield, Special EFX, etc.
Good times. _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

That was brilliant. I hadn't heard of that guy before. Very impressive!
While we're on guitars, I found this a while ago - I hope it hasn't already been posted.

Plenty, actually. Not to mention all of the other Windham Hill artists... _________________ Doug Turkel (tur-KELL)

I just saw Craig Chaquico in concert this summer. He lives a few miles from me.
That rendition of Aerial Boundaries was phenomenal; I was lucky enough to see Michael Hedges perform twice, and met him the year before his untimely demise (drove off a cliff on Highway 101 if I recall correctly).
Huge loss. _________________ www.dereksvoice.com |
