Thanks so very much each of you for stopping by with advice and encouragement!
Jason-- it's all about getting thoughts out and sharing questions, answers and ideas.... as far as I'm concerned you can't hijack a thread by asking questions with the same goals of improvement.
I'm hoping I can grab your attention once more. I recorded a short piece without, then with headphones. Neither are my best work ever, but I'm going for character. Besides feeling like I can be a bit louder when I'm not hearing myself through cans (maybe I should see a therapist about my self esteme?), I'm wondering which of these two sounds better to you.
