I am a big fan of Pitch N Time Pro. It is the best I've tried on voice and music. The stock Time Compression in Pro Tools is not bad either.

Yes. The Grace m101 is perfect for this setup. Just move it into the booth and connect a short XLR cable to your mic. The cable previously connected to your mic would connect to the output of the Grac ...

You could have your microphone preamp in the studio with you. You would plug your 102 output to the input of the mic preamp, then your mic preamp output to the input of your audio interface in your co ...

While UA stuff generally sounds nice, I agree with Dayo. Other options perform just as well.

One limitation to consider with UAD plugins. They are hardware dependent. You cannot use UAD plugins wit ...

RX6 is a vast improvement over RX4 for voice, and I imagine that RX7 will be another leap forward. As a user since RX2, I've seen the software add more and more features aimed at the voiceover market ...

A little late to the thread, but I am a fan of the 8040. I find that it works well at a little further distance than the 416 without sacrificing warmth or clarity. The pickup pattern is a little more ...

Did you accidentally hit one of the EQ switches or knobs? Or the -15db pad on the left? Or the mic impedance?

WOW! i've never even heard of an upload speed like that! amazing.

1GB is more than most individuals require, but it ended up being $10/mth cheaper than my previous 50Mb up/10 Mb down service. It is ...

My 416 sits about 7 inches from my mouth. The tip is at nose height and angled down toward my mouth at roughly a 35-45 degree angle. Ever so slightly off to the left side.

Your pop filter should id ...

I realize the difference in rear rejection between the 416 and a cardioid mic. In my setup, however, the two Clearsonic panels come together behind the 416, so the rear rejection really is fine for my ...

Contrary to popular belief, the Sennheiser 416 rear rejection is not as good as a cardiod mic. The hypercardiod design makes for better side rejection, but adds an open pickup area at the rear of the ...
