As a USB PC Apollo Twin owner...all I can say is..."whew."

You might check to see that the sample rate coming from the Apollo matches that which is setup in your Mac.

In the first example it is worth noting that the "sound" that was being "blocked" was a pure tone.

Quick suggestion: before you buy check to see if it's compatible with ipDTL first. Just ran into that problem with my Apollo Twin. They work on Mac, but not on the USB PC version.
