I use that setup.

I use a TRS cable from the L. Main Output on the 402 into the TRS slot on the Scarlett. Line selected, gain all the way down.

Great sound Lance, one of the best I've heard posted on the site. I use the VLZ4/Scarlett/medium room combo too, with a 416. It's very natural.

All samples sound a bit muddy and boxy to me. Or you using a booth?

What matters most? Your voice, your communication skills, and your mic technique. The mic itself is not that important.
